Seed Saving Practicum

Lee Buttala, co-author of The Seed Garden, will begin with a brief talk on the art of collecting seed, followed by a walk around Hollister House Garden to identify and collect seed that has matured in the garden. This event will introduce participants into the art and practice of seed saving.
Pruning Tips and Techniques

Let Lee Reich take the mystery out of pruning, so that lilacs, roses -- all trees and shrubs, in fact -- can be pruned to look their best and be in vibrant health. After going over the many benefits of pruning, Lee will review the tools for the job and discuss how plants respond to various types of pruning cuts.
Collage Workshop

10 am - 1 pm
In this interesting and fun workshop, Joanne Wasti will explore the art of collage in which pieces of paper, photographs, fabric and other ephemera are arranged on a supporting surface.Participants are encouraged to bring items that have some meaning to them to create an original piece of artwork.
