Folk Art & Familia - A New Community Gallery Exhibit at the Museum of Historic Annapolis

Folk Art & Familia: Celebrating our Hispanic Heritage is vivid, vibrant, and not to be missed!

These student works are based on the traditional folk art of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Panama, reflecting the unique cultural aesthetics of their communities here in Annapolis and fostering a greater appreciation of Hispanic history, art, and culture.

"The Community Gallery at our Museum allows us to engage a broader audience and expand partnerships," says Karen Theimer Brown, President and CEO of Historic Annapolis. "We are grateful to the families for sharing their stories and for their work to preserve their cultural heritage."

This exhibit was developed in partnership with the student art program at Marshall Learning Center, supported by Jóvenes Artistas through Maryland Hall, with special assistance from Key School.
