BRICE HOUSE SWEPT VALLEYS
We've been swept away by something that was recently completed at the Brice House -- swept valleys! This technique of fanning the cedar roof shingles from one surface to another takes great design and skill, and the restoration team has been working on how best to accurately reproduce this beautiful craftsmanship for a very long time.

PEOPLE LOVE GETTING TO KNOW OUR STAFF!
Janet Hall, Visitor Services Manager: "My favorite part about working with Historic Annapolis is our incredible team of volunteers and staff!"
Cara Garside, Education Assistant: "My favorite part about working with HA is working with the children coming to us for field trips. Many students have never experienced field trips before, so they ask the best questions that really drive home our mission. Questions like “Why is Annapolis important?” or “How come all the buildings are so old?” gives us the opportunity to educate students about preservation and the importance of embracing our history. Their energy and excitement with every question gives me a heart-warming boost that reaffirms my love for this job."
NATIONAL INTERN DAY
On July 27th, we celebrated National Intern Day! We are grateful for all the interns who have worked with us, past and present. This summer, we have an exceptional group of young people who are providing invaluable support for HA - Gabby, Jennifer, John, Matt, Mei, Noelle, Sam, and Sierra!
