La Crosse, WI -- Can silence bring inner peace? Find out at Grey Area Productions latest theatrical offering, 'Small Mouth Sounds' by Bess Wohl. The comedy runs November 14-17 and 21-24, 2024.

This ingenious physical comedy invites you to immerse yourself in a silent retreat with six troubled souls. As these strangers confront internal demons both profound and absurd, their vows of silence collide with the achingly human need to connect. Filled with awkward and insightful humor, Small Mouth Sounds is a unique and compassionate play that asks how we address life’s biggest questions when words fail us.

The performance lasts approximately 90 minutes with no intermission. A talkback with members of the production will be offered after each performance.

The cast includes: Colin Thelen (Teacher), Tracie Banner (Joan), Mary Leonard (Judy), Susannah Roed (Alicia), Daniel Pivovar (Ned), Phillip Shinn (Rodney), Joe Anderson (Jan). The production team includes: Adam Petchel and Brandon Harris (Co-Directors), Katya Carter (Stage Manager), Brandon Harris (Set Designer), Katie Carter (Sound Designer), Colin Thelen (Light Designer), Joe Anderson (Costume Designer), Taylor Goodine (Props Master), Nikki Balsamo (Choreographer), and Anne Drecktrah (Dramaturg).
