From: GreenStageSummer Cast Announcement
Auditions are done and we are thrilled to announce that casting has been complete for our FREE Shakespeare in the Park acting company this summer! It's a mix of GreenStage veterans you'll recognize and new faces coming to play with us for the first time.
But before we get to the casting announcement we would like to ask you if you can, if you are able, to please give early to GiveBIG this year. GreenStage has seen significant challenges in our productions costs. We're not alone in that as arts organizations across the country are facing those challenges in a post-pandemic world.
This year especially we are asking you to pay it forward to keep FREE Shakespeare in the Park alive and thriving. If you believe in the transformative power of theater, if you're committed to bringing FREE quality programming to your community parks, if you can't image a summer without the laughter and tears that Shakespeare brings out of us then please give a donation today.
Go see a play!

Summer Camp Registration is Open!
This summer GreenStage has scheduled more camps than ever before and in more locations! GreenStage’s educational programs support the values of successful learning and include summer shows for ages 5-17. Our theatre camps take each student on a personal journey through the world of Shakespeare. Their natural imaginations will be embraced and nurtured as their ability to focus and work as a team increases. All offerings focus on positive reinforcement and esteem building skills as our young artists explore Shakespeare’s mind-expanding concepts and beautiful world vision. Our instructors create supportive environments in the beauty of the Seattle area parks where we have been staging our professional shows since 1989. Each week-long camp ends with a FREE performance (picnic recommended) in the parks for family and friends.
For more information and registration.
We need to raise money to produce Shakespeare in the Park this summer. Rising production costs have presented us with a challenge. We need to raise an extra $5,000 before the summer begins. If you are able, please pay it forward to our audiences this year. Your contributions help us pay for the zillions of things that go into putting on more than forty performances in 20-plus parks around the Seattle area. From costumes and props to actors to admin costs and everything in between, we rely on your support to keep performing every year. If you are able, please consider a donation to pay it forward to your entire community who relies on our FREE performances every summer.
Thank you for your support!
