From: Oklahoma Governor J Kevin Stitt
On June 14, 2024, Governor Stitt named current president and CEO of Jenks Chamber of Commerce, Heather Turner, as executive director of the Oklahoma Division of Community Outreach and Revitalization Enterprise (CORE). This division, created by Senate Bill 1447, will work in tandem with the newly created Division on Economic Development, Growth, and Expansion (EDGE). At CORE, Turner will help make Oklahoma a Top Ten state for business by drawing attention and resources to the economic centers that drive communities.

“Heather has a drive to serve her state and a passion for raising up business owners and communities,” said Governor Stitt. “She has no shortage of talent and will bring her very best strengths to this new division. I’m grateful she is willing to serve Oklahomans in this capacity and I look forward to the success she’ll bring to our state.”

“One of the successes I am most proud of is the revitalization of Downtown Jenks, it’s incredible what can be accomplished when cities, chambers of commerce, business leaders and citizens of a community all work together toward a common goal,” said Turner. “I am grateful to Governor Stitt for the opportunity to bring that same enthusiasm and success to the rest of Oklahoma. We are perfectly poised to be Top Ten, and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

Before serving as president and CEO of Jenks Chamber of Commerce, Turner owned and operated Anthem Road Academy schools of music instilling her love of music into children and adults alike across the Tulsa metro area. She is a regular speaker and a published author. She resides with her family in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
