TRENTON, NJ -- Governor Phil Murphy on May 14th, signed Executive Order No. 358, ordering U.S. and New Jersey flags to fly at half-staff on Wednesday, May 15 in recognition and in mourning of New Jersey State Police Trooper Marcellus E. Bethea. Trooper Bethea passed away during training on Sunday, May 5, leaving behind his loving wife, Katarzyna, and their daughter, Bella. A resident of Florence, Trooper Bethea served for over eight years and was training to become a member of the elite Technical Emergency and Mission Specialist Unit.
