Boston Harbor Islands Discount Ferry Passes
The Library now offers Boston Harbor Islands Ferry passes for the 2023 season. Tickets are buy one get one free, for up to a total of TWO free tickets. More info and how to reserve here.

Let’s get growing! With Summer in full swing, check out the library's collection of gardening tools for Georgetown library patrons to borrow for up to one week.

September Sneak Peek: Labor Day Closing
Saturday September 2 - Monday September 4
The Library will be closed for the holiday weekend. Have a safe and happy holiday!
Messy Mondays
Monday August 7 at 6:30PM
All ages! Do you like messy crafts, art, or activities? Dress for a mess. Each Messy Monday will have a fun activity or art project you can create. It could be slime or wallpaper paste painting or something else. Come and find out what we are doing each week!
Depending on the weather and activity, this program will be held on the library lawn or in the meeting room.
Reading to a Library Dog
Monday, August 7 and August 21 at 4PM
Come and read to Aston, a certified therapy dog. Registration is required. This program is designed to help develop reading skills and is recommended for children who want to practice their reading fluency.

Pack-a-Snack Storytime

All ages! Bring a blanket and snack. We will read stories under a tree on the library lawn and then provide a fun outdoor activity. If the weather does not cooperate the Storytime will be held inside the library.
Teen Event: Teen Thursdays
For those in grades 7-12!

Every Thursday in August, we’re making the meeting room a space just for Teens! Enjoy snacks, video games, and crafts all summer long!
Teen Event: Dungeons & Dragons
For those in grades 7-12!
Wednesdays, August 9 and August 23
3-5 PM
Join us for adventure! Everything you need to play is provided, all you have to do is show up. All skill levels are welcome. Max 6 players per session, first come, first served.
Wednesday Night Concerts
All ages are welcome! Concerts will take place outside on the library lawn so please bring lawn chairs or blankets. If the weather does not cooperate, the concerts will be inside in the library’s Meeting Room.

End of Summer Bash
Monday August 14 from 4-7 PM on the lawn
Celebrate the end of the summer programs on the library lawn with the Clemenzi Crusaders and the Clemenzi Family band. They will be playing multiple sets that will include music from movies, TV, video games and even the Foo Fighters.
While you are listening to the music a henna artist, Kona Ice truck, and lawn games will also be available. If it is raining, the music and henna artist will be brought inside and the Kona Ice Truck will still be available.
September Sneak Peek: Donation Drop Off
Wednesday September 6-13
The Friends of the Georgetown Peabody Library will be accepting donations during open library hours September 6-13 for their upcoming Fall Book Sale.
Donations can include books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, board games, audiobooks. They must all be gently used and free from mold. Ask yourself would you be willing to give this to a family member or friend before you decide to donate to the library.
