Gallery Director
Gallery 110, a nonprofit artist collective located in Pioneer Square, Seattle, is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as part-time Gallery Director.
The Gallery Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the operations and management of Gallery 110. The director is the public and press contact for the gallery; orients and responds to thirty+ gallery artists; maintains the physical space; prepares and markets monthly exhibitions; maintains website and social media presence; and manages the office. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the vibrant cultural landscape of the historic Pioneer Square arts community and collaborate with emerging and established multidisciplinary artists.
Hours: average of 25 hours/week, including gallery open hours (noon to 5pm, Thursday through Saturday). Some work from home is possible.
Compensation: $26/hour plus sales commission
Desired qualifications: two years’ experience managing a gallery or other arts organization; exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; computer proficiency.
