From: Fourth of July SummerfestStar Spangled Summer
Experience the charm of Centralia's signature event, Summerfest, a cherished day-long celebration on the 4th of July. This event is back and better than ever! Join the City of Centralia and the Centralia Downtown Association for a full day of family friendly fun to celebrate Independence Day.
Schedule of Events
8 am: 5k Fun Run hosted by Run Amok Irish Running Club. Start at the Centralia College clock tower. Canned good donations are appreciated but not required for participation. All donations will be given to the Centralia College Food Pantry.
8am-10am: Pancake Breakfast (pay what you can) in the Trans Alta Commons at Centralia College, a Centralia Rotary fundraiser sponsored by Sierra Pacific.
10am-12pm: Field activities at Centralia College's Bob Peters Field, featuring an obstacle course, goal kicks, bubbles and more!
11am-6pm: Food vendors will be downtown across from the Pine Street Plaza with tasty treats and delicious drinks for the day in addition to downtown shopping and dining.
12-3:30pm: Cooks Hill Community Church will host family friendly activities in George Washington Park in front of the Centralia Timberland Library, including a scavenger hunt, rubber chicken games, crafts and more. Music and prizes will be provided by Kela/Kmnt from 12-2pm.
12-3pm: Live music at the Pine Street Plaza from local band BonzoBalm!
4pm: The annual downtown Summerfest Parade, with announcers Aaron Van Tuyl, Eric Schwartz of The Chronicle News Dump podcast, with special guest Luke Kilgor. Live commentary will take place on stage at Pine Street Plaza.

6:30pm: Head to the SW WA Fairgrounds for the demolition derby brought to you by the Lewis County Demolition Derby Association!
10:30pm: (or when derby ends, no earlier than 10:30) Free Fireworks Show at the SW WA Fairgrounds courtesy of the City of Centralia.
