Message from the Executive Office

We have many reasons to be JOYFUL this week at FIM!

On May 19th, Joseph Gray will romance his audience at MacArthur Auditorium with an intimate evening of piano and violin duets by candlelight, while Capitol Theatre-goers can sing along to the film adaptation of Lin Manuel Miranda’s first Broadway hit, In the Heights.

Saturday night, the Flint Symphony Orchestra will join forces with the Flint Symphony Chorus to present Beethoven’s 9th and final symphony for their last concert of the season. Beethoven may not have been able to hear his iconic Ode to Joy, but we certainly hope you’ll take advantage of an opportunity to do so!

Monday morning, we are pleased to announce the launch of the new and improved FIM website! We know this isn’t a performance, but like our live programs, it does provide a very particular experience for each user, and we hope you’ll find that it makes your engagement with FIM and its variety of programming more fluid and inviting. Please be patient with us as we work out all the wrinkles, and don’t hesitate to let us know if you find ways we can improve.

Even as this season draws to a close, we are grateful as ever for you: the friends we’ve made along the way who support the future we continue to build.
