Events will be held at the Farr West, Smith Family and Mountain View Parks.

Schedule of Events:

June 30, 2023:

7:30 a.m (shotgun start): Farr West Freedom Festival Golf Tournament - Remuda Golf Course

4-person scramble. Divisions for men and co-ed teams. Includes 18-holes with cart, warm up range balls, swag bag, on-course games and snacks and lunch afterwards.

8:30 p.m: Weber Fire/Weber County Sherriff Office vs Farr West City Softball Tournament - Farr West Park - 2090 North 2000 West

Come support Farr West residents as they take on a team from Weber Fire District and Weber County Sheriff's office in a fun game under the lights!

July 1, 2023:

7 a.m. - 12 p.m: Fishing Derby - Smith Family Park

No pre-registration required.  Come and fish!  Volunteers will be in the pavilion to measure the fish, etc.

8 a.m and 6 p.m: Pickleball Tournament - Smith Family Park

Cost is $20 per team.  A team may consist of co-ed or woman/woman; 16 years and older with two levels: 3.0-3.5 at 8 a.m; 2.5-3.0 at 6 p.m.

It will be a fun, social, round robin format.  T-shirts and prize money will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.

July 3, 2023:

Smith Family Park --> Mountain View Park:

9:00 a.m: Park 2 Park Ride

New event for 2023, Join us for the grand opening of the Farr West Bikeway that connects Smith Family Park with Mountain View Park and many points between.

City Hall, 1896 North 1800 West:

3rd Annual Farr West City Car Show
Awards for various categories and raffles
Check-in starts at 3 pm
All vendors, contact City Hall at 801-731-4187 to register.  

Mountain View Park, 1500 North 1700 West:

Movie in the Park
The movie in the park is back to Mountain View Park this year!
Movie TBD. Starts at dusk.

July 4, 2023:

City Office Park and Mountain View Park:

7 a.m: 5k Run/Walk

The 5k will start at City Hall and finish at Mountain View Park. The cost is $15 if pre-registered by June 24th and $25 until 10 am on Friday, July 1st. No Registrations Will Be Accepted After July 1st. Shirt sizes are only guaranteed to those who pre-register. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.

6:30 a.m. - 9 a.m: Breakfast

8 a.m: Flag Ceremony & Grand Marshal Presentation

9:45 a.m: Parade

Smith Family Park:

7 - 10 p.m: Food Trucks and Vendors
Vendor Application

7 p.m: Mayor's Dunk Tank
7:30 p.m: Sawdust Scramble and Children's Races

The children's races will start at 7:30 p.m., each participant will receive a small prize!

The saw dust scramble will immediately follow, this event is for children 16 years old and younger. Age brackets are 0-2 yrs, 3-4 yrs, 5-6 yrs, 7-9 yrs, 10-12 yrs and 13-16 yrs. Prizes include candy and coins!

9 - 10 p.m: Dance Party

10 p.m: Fireworks
