The exhibition
The exhibit provides an exploration of contemporary themes. "The Edge" is an exhibition that is not to be missed by art enthusiasts, environmentalists, and anyone interested in exploring the intersection of art and society.
About the artists
Donnal Poppe is a sculptor and assemblage artist based in Los Angeles. Her work, which explores the dynamics of environmental destruction caused by human actions and the passage of time, is the focus of her Disaster House series. Poppe's sculptures are intense, questioning the impact of climate change on our daily lives. Additionally, her ladder series explores issues of societal movement and gender.
Marjorie Salvaterra is an acclaimed photographer whose black-and-white images have been lauded for their humor and solemnity. As Virginia Heckart, Associate Curator of Photography at the Getty Center, notes, Salvaterra's work captures "a fine line between sanity and insanity."
Salvaterra's photography has been exhibited in venues across the world, including The California Museum of Art and Rencontres d'Arles in France. She has had solo exhibitions at Ralph Pucci Los Angeles, NYC & Miami; VanRensburg Galleries, Australia, and The Griffin Museum of Photography.
