Apprentice Highlight: IRIS Volunteering
From December 2022 through May 2023, our apprentices Mathais Vieth (Hamden Hall, '25), Vivienne Schwarz (CCSU '25), and Laila Samuel (Hopkins '23) have been volunteering in support of after-school programs for IRIS in New Haven.
They have had the pleasure of leading 21 different sessions over 18 weeks so far. We are thankful for their help and enthusiasm!

Youth Without Limits
Last month the museum hosted Youth Without Limits, a non-profit organization dedicated to breaking the cycles of poverty, unemployment, incarceration, and early death of young people in New Haven.
Participants enjoyed a full day of building, decorating, and racing gravity cars in this program, facilitated by Shop Assistant Elliot Romo Kurek with the help of our apprentices.
