Looking ahead to Eastman School of Music’s February and March Eastman Presents concerts, we are pleased to present a wide range of events featuring internationally accomplished guest artists.
FEBRUARY 2023
Batman (1989) in Concert: Friday, February 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Kodak Hall | This debut live-to-picture performance of Tim Burton's 1989 film (starring Michael Keaton) will feature Eastman’s Empire Film and Media Ensemble, conducted by six-time Emmy Award-winning composer Mark Watters.
Septura Brass Septet: Monday, February 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Kilbourn Hall | Making its Eastman debut, Septura performs its own arrangements of some of the world’s most beloved classical works on a program that includes Gershwin, Copland and more.
MARCH 2023
-Benjamin Grosvenor, piano: Friday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Kilbourn Hall | Known for his vivid colors and elegant phrases, Grosvenor presents a program of works by Bach/Busoni, Schumann, Ravel and Prokofiev.
-Stewart Copeland: Police Deranged for Orchestra: Friday, March 17 at 8:00 p.m. in Kodak Hall | Eastman and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra jointly present Police Deranged for Orchestra, featuring Grammy award-winning artist Stewart Copeland on the drums! The program includes orchestral arrangements of The Police’s biggest hits, including ?“Roxanne,” ?“Don’t Stand So Close to Me” and “Message in a Bottle.”
-Ying Quartet: Sunday, March 26 at 3:00 p.m. in Kilbourn Hall | The Grammy Award-winning Ying Quartet presents their third and final concert as part of the 2022/23 Eastman-Ranlet Series.
