For 47 years on the Windmill Green (and other locations around town!), Easthammers have gathered together to celebrate the conclusion of the summer season and to welcome back a slower pace of life. We hope you can join us for this beloved multi-day tradition designed for every member of our community to enjoy.

Friday, September 6, 2024

5:30 - 7:30 pm: Chicken & Fish Fry

Dinner before the show! All are welcome at the Elk’s Friday night Fish Fry. We strongly recommend ordering ahead.

7:30 - 9:00 pm: Talent Show

The kick-off event! Perform, dance, show off a unique skill; all are welcome to participate.

9:00 am - 11:00 am: Sand Art Contest

Join the sand art contest or come see how participants bring this year’s theme, “Back to the Farm”, to life on the beach.

8:30 am Registration.

Location: First Encounter Beach

10:00 am - 2:00 pm: Vehicle Show

One of the best vehicle shows on the Cape for over 25 years! Come see over 70 participating vehicles.

Location: Elks Lodge

10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Historical Bike Ride

Join the Rec. & Beach Department for a 5.5 mile bike ride. All ages welcome. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Helmets required!

Location: Starts at First Encounter Beach. Ends at Nauset Light.

11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Touch a Truck

Kids and kids at heart will love this. Join the Recs Department behind Town Hall to touch, explore and play!

On The Green:

Join us for Yoga with Ken Fishman at 9:15 - 10:00 am.
Support a local artisan at the Craft Show from 10:00 - 4:00.
Pony Races start at 3:00.  
Bring your cards/envelopes to receive a USPS Commemorative Windmill Weekend stamp from 10:00 - 2:00.

A 5k run/walk starting at First Encounter Beach.

All ages welcome.

10:00 - 11:00 am: Parade

A town tradition and one that we are proud to continue. Bands, floats, trucks, cars and lots of candy! This year’s theme is “Back to the Farm”.

Location: Old Orchard to Town Hall on Rte 6

On The Green:

Play Family Games with the Recs Department from 11:00 - 3:00.
Ride in the Tricycle Race from 11:30 - 12:00.
Face painting by Cape Cod Masquerade from 11:30 - 2:30.
Get your crew together and compete in Tug of War at 12:30.
NEW this year! Don’t miss Line Dancing from 1:00 - 3:00.
