6:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Pysanky Eggs: Ukrainian Easter Eggs

Made using real (raw!) eggs, beeswax, and dye, Ukrainian Easter Eggs are a unique art form that has been passed down for generations. You will learn how to use a kistka to create wax patterns on your egg, apply layers of dye, and then melt it all to reveal your colorful final product. No experience needed, we'll provide everything you need to create beautiful Pysanky (which means "to write" in Ukrainian).

Please bring a small container to transport egg from the studio. Wear clothes that can get dye/wax on them!

Ages: 10 years and up (7-10 years only if accompanied by adult. Separate tickets must be purchased)

10-3PM: Kids - Open Studio! art, play + create: Paperclip Buddies!

- ART, PLAY + CREATE Open Studio!

- Do you have an artist at home and want to cultivate their creativity? Join us for an Open Art Studio!

- We will have a planned project and a few art stations you can enjoy. Stay for up to two hours and tap into your creativity!

- These projects are geared towards toddler and preschool, but we will have a station set up for elementary and above with rotating supplies that are age appropriate.

- This is considered open art, which means there will not be an instructor to guide you. This is designed as free play, a place to explore your creativity freely and immerse yourself in an inspiring and fun environment.

- An MJ staff member will be present in the shop if you have any questions or concerns.

AGES: Geared towards Toddler, Preschool & Grade School age kids. No drop-offs, parents must stay with their child while they create!

Figure Drawing is back! Join us for an evening of life drawing with a live model. We will have a series of timed poses planned, you just need to come prepared with your favorite drawing supplies.

Please note, this is not an instructional class. This is an open drawing session. Advanced registration is appreciated but not required, first come first serve.

Deep in cozy season, we are fully embracing all things comfort. The kids will learn how to make their very own bowl in the pottery studio, using slab techniques and glaze. In the kitchen we will be making our own pasta noodles, ice cream and more. Bowls will be ready for pickup 1-2 weeks after class is held. This will allow for kiln time.

Class will be held at MUSEjar on 71 Pine Street. Pick up and drop off will take place there.

Join us for an otterly fun and creative class focusing on Sculpey clay and storytelling. We will begin by creating our own otter friend! As our otters bake in the oven, we will write and illustrate a short story about our their adventures.
