From: Denver American Indian FestivalThe Denver American Indian Festival is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)3. Since 2014 the Denver American Indian Festival has brought a celebration of American Indian culture, arts, and history to all Denver Metro communities. It has welcomed over 20,000 residents and over 81 tribal representatives.
Each year this free and family-friendly event is held the last week in September. We have grown so much that this year we will be hosting the festival at the Lakewood United Methodist Church (1390 Brentwood, Lakewood, Co. 80214) We hope you can join us on September 23rd and 24th 2023.
DAIF is committed to creating a space in our community that fosters stewardship, knowledge, and understanding of the artistic, cultural, and intellectual achievements of the diverse peoples of Native American descent.
We strive to include all people regardless of their race, color, gender identity, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, physical abilities, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, or criminal history, in our endeavors to bring recognition and understanding of Native peoples of the Americas.
Celebrating diverse tribes, each with a distinctive history, culture, and language, and each who is integral to the vibrant, historical, and cultural landscape of our country.

Shelley & Fabian
2019 Native American Music Awards "Artist of the Year" Singer, Songwriter, Native American flute player, Grammy Member, ASCAP Member, Photographer, Painter, Shelley Morning song (Northern Cheyenne & Scandinavian) is a Multiple Music Award Winner!
Shelley also writes theme songs for organizations that she believes and songs that bring awareness to the commonalities we all have as human beings. She is joined by her husband, Fabian Fontenelle (Zuni/Omaha), who presents Northern Traditional dancing, Storytelling and Traditional Plains & Southwestern style Drumming at it’s finest to accompany her presentation. Fabian brings great honor to his Zuni and Omaha families through what he shares on stage and in his own personal life.
