Connecticut Pizza & Brew Fest debuts in Connecticut—home to some of the best pizza on the planet - at the brand-new Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Celebrate all things pizza & craft beer, with pizza & dessert food trucks, craft breweries, and vendors serving up their signature pies. While you're there, check out pizza panels happening throughout the event ranging from the history of New Haven Pizza to how to make the perfect dough.

Sit in on pizza panels throughout the day with some local legends of the CT Pizza Scene! All hosted by New Haven Pizza School's Frank Zabski, "The Pizza Gavone". All pizza panels are free with your CT Pizza & Brew Fest tickets.

Listen to iconic pizzeria owners and family members of some of the most famous pizzerias in CT such as Frank Pepe's Pizzeria, Ernie's of Westville, Abate of Wooster Street, Sally's Apizza, and Big Green Pizza Truck from New Haven. Each pizzeria will get five minutes to tell their story, followed by an open Q&A session.

How to make New Haven Apizza
Learn how to make New Haven Style Apizza from Frank Zabski, owner of New Haven Pizza School. Frank has taught close to 1,000 students over the last year how to make the best pizza in the world, called New Haven Style. All ingredients can be sourced at your local grocery store with easy to bake instructions using your home oven. You'll learn everything from dough to dish.

America's Pizza, Coast to Coast
Take a coast-to-coast journey through America's diverse pizza landscape. Learn the difference between pan pizza styles such as Sicilian, Roman, Detroit, Grandma, and Chicago Deep Dish. Want to know the difference between St. Louis versus L.A. varietals? Are Tavern, Cracker, and Bar styles all the same? Discover the hottest pie trends and cities emerging as the newest hot spots. The session includes a live demonstration of how to prepare & assemble Detroit and Tavern style pizza in your home. Joining host Frank Zabski is John Bonora, an Assistant Instructor at the New Haven Pizza School and a Certified Pizzaiolo from the International School of Pizza. John studied directly under pizza competition world champions Tony Gemignani and Laura Meyer. The Bonora family has over 40 years of food service and food distribution experience. Most notably, the Bonora family owned and operated Belle's Pastry in Hamden, CT as well as Cedro Banana in New Haven, CT. John specializes in Tavern and Detroit pizza styles and will be competing in the 2023 Pizza & Pasta Northeast Expo in Atlantic City, NJ.
