Tomorrow: Trick-or-Treat Fest presented by Citizens starts Friday! Get your tickets for this annual Halloween celebration at the Zoo, Fridays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 6 through Oct. 29.

Saturday: Fall hayrides are back at Mill Stream Run Reservation! Enjoy the cool autumn air and beautiful fall colors while riding on a tractor-drawn hay wagon.

Sunday: Help secure a future for wildlife at the Future for Wildlife 5K presented by CrossCountry Mortgage at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo this Sunday, October 8! Proceeds from participants go directly towards Zoo conservation efforts to protect animals in the wild.

NOW OPEN! KAREN'S WAY PLAY SPACE IN HUNTINGTON RESERVATION

The new play space includes a willow tunnel, slide, log tables and chairs, climbing structures, an interactive water play area and swing sets. The play area also includes a twin 50-foot-long kid-friendly zipline making it the perfect stop for family fun! Get directions and learn more here.

MUSHROOM MADNESS!

Come by Look About Lodge in South Chagrin Reservation for Mushroom Madness on Saturday, October 14! Learn mushroom identification, hike with a naturalist for fantastic fungi, and taste mushroom-themed treats at this family-friendly event from 11 to 3 p.m.

FALL FAMILY FISHING FEST

Children and families are invited to the annual Fall Family Fishing Fest on Saturday, October 14 along the Ohio and Erie Canal. This free event, just down the hill from CanalWay Center, offers fishing opportunities for all anglers with prizes and more!

SEASONAL CLAMBAKES

Don’t miss seasonal clambakes returning to Merwin’s Wharf on weekends only through October 28! Clambakes are available on a first come, first served basis. More information and menu available at MerwinsWharf.com

Fri., Oct. 6:

 - Explore the trails around Rocky River Nature Center and observe the changes as day changes to night at Twilight Hike. Free.

 - Join the Fall Cart Tour in Bedford Reservation for a shuttle tour between scenic highlights including Viaduct Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Tinker’s Creek Gorge Overlook. $10, registration required. Also available on additional dates.  

Sun., Oct. 8: Drop-by the North Chagrin Nature Center for family-friendly activities at STEM Sunday. Free.
 
Mon., Oct. 9: The six-week CanalWay Kids class in Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation explores the wonders of fall nature each Monday from Oct. 9 through Nov. 13. $35, registration required.
 
Tues., Oct. 10: Join us for Three Tree Tuesdays in Brecksville Reservation where we explore the forest types and their cultural significance. Free.
 
Wed., Oct. 11: Learn how stormwater effects our area and learn what we can do at home to manage the impacts at Stormwater Stroll in West Creek Reservation. Free.
 
Thurs., Oct. 12:

 - Take a leisurely hike along the Rocky River and stop for the flowers, trees and everything in between at Autumn Adventure. Free.

 - Learn how to incorporate more mindfulness into your daily life at Mindfulness Hike in West Creek Reservation. $5, registration required.

 - Explore the ravine along the Chagrin River in South Chagrin Reservation and find out what's New in Nature. Free.
