IMPROVEMENTS COMING TO CLEVELAND'S LAKEFRONT
This week, Cleveland Metroparks announced a historic $13 million gift to Cleveland Metroparks from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation for two key projects: the construction of the Cleveland Lakefront Bikeway from E. 9th Street to E. 55th Street and neighborhood investment through the acquisition and transformation of the southern portion of Gordon Park. The projects will enhance park access, improve neighborhoods and boost recreational opportunities along Cleveland’s East Side lakefront.
WHISKEY ISLAND 5K THIS SUNDAY!
Explore lakefront trails at the Whiskey Island 5K this Sunday, July 16. All participants of the timed run/walk receive a custom medal, a t-shirt, and post-race refreshments! This is the second of four races that makes up the Cleveland Metroparks Race Series presented by CrossCountry Mortgage. Register today.
SAVE THE DATE: CHILDREN'S HEALTH EXPO AT CLEVELAND METROPARKS ZOO
Join MetroHealth at the next Multicultural Children’s Health Expo at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on Monday, July 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children and their families will be able to interact with MetroHealth caregivers, receive important health information, and discover fun ways to stay active and healthy. The expo includes music, giveaways, hands-on activities, face painting and more.
Entry to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is free for Cuyahoga County and Hinckley Township residents on Mondays.
