- Nature Bash: Join us at the Watershed Stewardship Center this Saturday, August 12, for a full day of family fun at the Backyard Nature Bash including live music, wagon rides, native plant sale, and tips from experts.
BABY SLOW LORIS
Baby alert! Cleveland Metroparks Zoo recently welcomed a baby pygmy slow loris! Mom, Nova and dad, Asiago are doing great as first-time parents! Pygmy slow lorises are endangered and this birth is extra special for the Zoo population trying to maintain sustainability of this species. Guests can spot the new baby in the Primate, Cat & Aquatics building during normal Zoo hours.
HISTORIC RENOVATION
Thanks to grants and generous donations, Cleveland Metroparks carpentry team is completing the last phases of exterior renovations of the historic Squire’s Castle. Over the next few weeks, dormers and cedar shake roofing will be installed to match the original style from when the castle was first built in the 1890s. The greenspace and trails surrounding the castle will remain open throughout construction.
