There’s only three weeks left to experience Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s Wild Winter Lights presented by NOPEC! This year’s holiday event features hundreds of dazzling displays, over 1.5 million lights, costumed characters, carousel rides, and even a visit from Santa Claus. Guests can again experience this year’s Wild Winter Lights on foot or in their personal vehicle on select dates.

WINTER BREAK CAMP FOR KIDS

There’s still openings left for Winter Break Camps on select dates from December 20 through January 3. From crafts and games, to hikes and waterfalls, there’s an adventure for every child. Registration for winter break camps is now open!

NATURE PROGRAMS

-Tuesday, Dec. 13: Join the Winter Woodland Walkabout to seek out birds and other active winter animals in North Chagrin Reservation. Free.

-Wednesday, Dec. 14: Break out of your winter blues and learn advice on keeping your yard healthy at Virtual: Staying Green in Winter. Free.

-Thursday, Dec. 15: Gather a group of adults and children and challenge yourself at the Homeschooler Mystery Room in Watershed Stewardship Center.

-Saturday, Dec. 17: Drop-by Watershed Stewardship Center in West Creek Reservation to celebrate a season of giving at Handmade Holidays. Free.

-Sunday, Dec. 18: Join us in Big Creek Reservation for Hike: Frozen in Time and learn how frogs and crustaceans survive the winter. Free.

-Sunday, Dec. 18: Get ready for paddling season at the indoor Kayaking: Advanced Strokes & Rescues.

-Wednesday, Dec. 21: Celebrate the shortest day of the year at Solstice Stroll in Brookside Reservation. Free.

-Friday, Dec. 23: Walk to Brecksville Nature Center and make a simple critter from milkweed pods at Drop-By: Nature Ornament. Free.
