From: City Of New Smyrna BeachMayor Fred Cleveland met with New Smyrna Athletic Club Owner Andrew Pritchard at his Canal Street location today ahead of this year's 10-week Mayor's Fitness Challenge, set to kick off this Monday, Jan. 9, at 6 p.m.
$1,000 will be awarded to both the highest performing individual male and female competitors. Along the way, participants will be assigned to a team and coach, receive blood work before and after the contest, have access to group classes every Monday & Thursday, be entered in the Feb. 25 Band on the Run 5K, and enjoy limited membership to sponsoring gyms for the duration of the challenge.
"At New Smyrna Athletic Club, we're all about helping you on your journey to a healthier life," said Pritchard. "As a part of that, we're excited to continue partnering with the City of New Smyrna Beach to give Mayor's Fitness Challenge participants the opportunity to achieve their fitness goals at our location around the clock, 24/7, over the next 10 weeks and hopefully beyond."
Of note, Pritchard has also adopted and helped maintain Christmas Park, 101 Live Oak St., since 2016. Learn more about our Adopt-a-Park program now at https://bit.ly/3g9dNiK
