Volunteers Needed
The Encinitas Senior Center is in search of volunteers with a passion for helping our community. Since the start of COVID, the Nutrition Program has been serving lunches in pre-portioned trays. We are aiming to return to plated meals on Mar. 1 (or sooner if possible), but we need volunteers in place to make it happen.
Volunteers at the Nutrition Program will help plate food, serve meals to our participants and help with light kitchen clean-up. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, have at least one day per week available to volunteer and complete training with staff to obtain a food handler certificate.
Volunteer shifts are available Monday – Friday 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. If interested, please contact Recreation Supervisor Clinton Calkins at [email protected] or call 760-943-2257.
