City Tip
Water Irrigation Times
Water lawns during the early morning or early evening hours. Avoid watering between 10 AM to 4 PM, this reduces losses from evaporation and wind that occur during the middle of the day.
This also allows the water to seep into the ground to the roots of sod and plants, giving healthier plants with deep root systems. The restricted time frame gives the City a chance to process and distribute water to all users.
Water restrictions are set by St. Johns River Water Management District and City of Apopka. Visit our Irrigation page to learn more.
