The City's Cultural Arts Division has a lot to offer in September including two artist opportunity deadlines as well as several free concerts and a city-wide art crawl!

COMMISSION FOR THE ARTS SPECIAL MEETING

The Commission for the Arts meets regularly to conduct public meetings about a variety of arts programs, events, and projects. This special meeting is on a Tuesday to accommodate the Labor Day holiday.

ART NIGHT ENCINITAS

Enjoy an evening of free entertainment with art exhibitions, live music, visual art demos, artist talks, and other performing and literary art experiences. A free shuttle service is available between civic sites with a short walk to other participating sites.

AT MOONLIGHT BEACH

THE SILENT COMEDY

Brothers Joshua and Jeremiah Zimmerman with their band The Silent Comedy create rough-hewn, expansive American rock and roll starting at 3pm. Juvenile Seagulls start the concert off at 1pm. Part of the Moonlight Summer Sunday Concert Series.

ARTIST SUBMISSION DEADLINE: PUBLIC ART

The City is inviting qualified artists or artist groups to submit a Proposal Application to loan existing outdoor public art sculptures for a period of two (2) years that will complement the specific installation locations, engage the public, and enhance a sense of community.

PACIFIC VIEW ART CENTER PREFERENCES SURVEY

The City of Encinitas will begin offering a variety of arts education programs for adults and children next year at the new Pacific View Art Center (tentatively scheduled to open in summer 2024). Share your interests and preferences for programs and open hours.
