Christmas Village in Philadelphia is an outside Holiday market event in Center City Philadelphia, which is modeled after the traditional Christmas Markets in Germany.

Vendors in wooden booths will set up shop during the Holiday season to sell a wide variety of international holiday gifts, ornaments, jewelry and high-quality arts and crafts, as well as traditional European food, sweets and drinks.

The unique atmosphere with thousands of lights and the delicious smell of waffles, gingerbread, bratwurst, and mulled wine will bring you and your family into the perfect Christmas spirit.

CHRISTMAS VILLAGE CAROUSEL

Our Christmas Village double decker Carousel is located in the middle of City Halls Courtyard. This old school carousel is great fun for the whole family with its horses, carriages and reindeers to ride on. In an effort to keep everybody safe, we ask that kids under 42" are accompanied by a responsible, paying adult.

FERRIS WHEEL

Since 2019, Christmas Village features a 65' high Ferris Wheel. The Ferris Wheel is located at the North Broad Section of the market and shines bright towards North Broad Street. The majestic Municipal Christmas tree of the City of Philadelphia as well as a bunch of Christmas Village vendors make it a fun place to be. Please note that kids under 54" have to be accompanied by a responsible, paying adult. Also, visibly intoxicated people are not allowed to ride our Ferris Wheel. Safety first!

KIDS TRAIN

Choo Choo, all aboard the Christmas Village Express! This classic Kids Train brings joy to our youngest visitors and their families. Being located right next to the Ferris Wheel at the markets North Broad Section, our little train riders can enjoy the vista of the Christmas Tree, the Ferris Wheel and our market. To make sure that your kid is as safe as possible, we ask that kids under 36" are accompanied by a responsible, paying adult.

MEET OUR MASCOT "PHIL THE REINDEER"!

Yay! Our beloved mascot Phil the Reindeer will be visiting us this year at Christmas Village in Philadelphia again! Phil will stroll across the market on November 18th, 2023 for the first time and he is already excited to take pictures with all the visitors!

Keep your eyes open and give Phil a High Five!

SANTA'S HOUSE

We are excited that Santa will take a trip to Christmas Village! He is awaiting you and your family to take holiday photos.

Admission for the whole event area is free, with food, drink, shopping, and ride tickets pay as you go.

Join us for Christmas Village's first weekend of the 2023 season - let's kick off the Holiday season at Center City Philadelphia together!

Sneak a peek on all returning and new vendors, get your first Bratwurst and Glühwein of the season and be merry!

November 23, 2023

09:00am - 05:00pm : Thanksgiving Day

Join us from 9am - 5pm on Thanksgiving day for some pre-dinner munchies and a casual stroll over the market.

The market will open early to allow visitors to enjoy the cities Thanksgiving Day parade.

November 26, 2023

12:00pm - 09:00pm : Christkind Opening

Officially kick off the Holiday season at Christmas Village and join us and the original Christkind from Nuremberg, Germany when she speaks the solemn prologue.
