From: Charleston Literary FestivalIn the world of historical fiction, few authors have reached the heights of Bernard Cornwell. The British writer's sixty-plus books, including the wildly popular series about Napoleonic Wars rifleman Richard Sharpe, have been translated into twenty languages and sold roughly thirty-five million copies. And Cornwell's most recent thirteen-book series is just as admired. Cornwell wrapped The Last Kingdom in 2020 but realized later something was missing—a little flavor. With the help of Suzanne Pollak, a chef in Charleston, South Carolina, the idea for an additional book, Uhtred's Feast (to be released in November), was born. As part of the Charleston Literary Festival, the pair will bring the recipe-filled book to life for an exclusive Gothic dinner at the Garden and Gun offices on November 2. Join us at this Charleston Literary Festival Feast!
