Floridians,

This week, I would like to take the time to thank the men and women who continuously fight to protect our country and our freedom. These individuals are heroes, and while we celebrate them on Veterans Day, it is important to not keep this to one day. Here in Florida, we recognize the immense sacrifice that they make for this country, and with more than 1.5 million veterans living in our state, we remain committed to making sure that Florida is military and veteran friendly. I am forever grateful for the men and women who have served our nation. God Bless our Veterans. 

Lastly, I am very thankful for the first responders who have been serving the past couple of days as Hurricane Nicole made landfall and ran across our state. Our state just got through the historic destruction of Hurricane Ian, and the last thing that any of us needed or wanted was another storm. Nevertheless, our first responders were at the ready as soon as Nicole was spotted, and they continue to serve Florida diligently, as they help all of those who have been affected by the storm.
