From: Center Theatre for the Performing ArtsHello fans and friends of the Center Theatre,
In 1928 Buster Keaton released his silent film Steamboat Bill, Jr. to rave reviews. 95 years later, the Center Theatre brings the movie to our big screen! We’re showing the movie on Sunday, March 26th at 2pm. And the best part? Maine’s own Doug Protsik will be accompanying the movie live! Doug is a pianist and composer for silent movies. He’s also a lifelong musician, music educator, and director of the Maine Fiddle Camp. Admission is $10, $8 for students, seniors and veterans, and $6 for Center Theatre members. Moving to more recent releases, tickets just went on sale for Shazam! Fury of the Gods (March 16 - March 30) and John Wick Chapter 4 (March 24 - April 6).
Also, tickets are now on sale for our Spring Youth Musical: Honk! Jr. It’s an award wining musical based on the story of the ugly duckling. The show will be from May 12th through the 21st. We couldn’t do it without our generous show sponsors: The Piscataquis Regional Food Center, Foxcroft Veterinary Services, and Lary Funeral Home.
And last, but certainly not least, Maine’s King of Comedy Bob Marley returns to the Center Theatre stage. We have two shows scheduled on June 17th at 5:30pm and 8:00pm. If you know anything about Bob Marley, then you know his shows sell out FAST. You have been warned.
And if you’re wondering what to do tonight (Friday the 3rd), come see one-act plays from Foxcroft Academy and Central High School. The show starts at 7pm and admission is by donation.
Tune in next week for more!
Thanks, as always, for your support.
