2023 Massachusetts Statewide Summer Reading Program – July 29 to August 12
Summer Reading begins with a visit from Three Ring Creations presenting Circus Magic on Thursday, June 29th at 11 a.m., sponsored by the Carver Cultural Council. This show kicks off a summer full of activities, including a musical puppet show, life-size dinosaurs and animal communication program, also sponsored by the Carver Cultural Council. Weekly storytimes, playgroup and special programs for all age groups means you always have something fun to do locally – plus, research shows that children who participate in summer reading programs not only avoid the summer slump, but actually make academic gains. The theme of the Massachusetts statewide summer reading program for 2023 is Find Your Voice and it is sponsored by your local library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
