Cartoon Camp engages kids and teens as they discover their own personal style of cartooning from illustrated books to super hero comics to slice-of-life or manga.

Mornings are more structured and focused on standard skill building that will lead to a final project within the week as led by college professor, cartoonist and illustrator Mark Simmons*** (UltimateMark.com)

Afternoons are more focused on group work and art-game-style skill building in approach to allow students to challenge themselves with guidance and support from our regular instructors, cartoonist and illustrators Brian Kolm (briankolm.com), or Gladys Ochoa***

Full Days ensure that students get the best of both worlds between structure and open exploration, from 9:30am to 5:30pm includes a 1 hour supervised recess and lunchtime from 1pm to 2pm in Ghirardelli Square and/or Aquatic Park across from the museum. Food is not provided. Participants will need to bring their own lunch.
