November 16th - Grant Writing Workshop
Center For Bronx Nonprofits And Penn Creative Strategies
BCA is pleased to promote Center for Bronx Nonprofits’ timely two-part workshop with PENN Creative Strategy. This online grant-writing workshop will cover the fundamentals of writing an effective and persuasive grant proposal. The first session will take place on Wednesday, November 16th from 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM followed by the second session taking place on Thursday, November 17th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.

Longwood Art Gallery @ Hostos
Join the Bronx Hispanic Festival on Friday, November 18th, at 6:00 PM for Disharmonious Incidents of the Rational World, a multimedia performance by Pablo Helguera. This fascinating performance will feature narrative and musical elements and will be followed by an artists discussion on this year's Triennial theme, Abya Yala.
November 28th - Bronx Memoir Project (BMP)
Short Talks With Orlando Ferrand
BMP is starting up again with an online workshop series, Short Talks: Writing Boundary-Busting Memoirs. Participants will learn from teaching artist Orlando Ferrand to craft "flash memoirs." In this four-week series starting Monday, November 28th and continuing every Monday until December 19th from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, writers of all levels are welcome to dig deeper into the fabric of their own memories and develop fluid personal narratives.

BCA is seeking artists, arts professionals, and community-based organization leaders to serve as panelists for our 2023 grant cycle. Panelists are an essential component of BCA’s grant-making process, selecting projects and deciding on the distribution of grant funds to Bronx based artists, art collectives, art organizations, and other community-based groups. BCA is seeking applications from NYC curators for its 2023 spring exhibition Process Reimagined (March 29, 2023 - May 3, 2023).
