Earlier on Jan 29th, Governor Kathy Hochul met with SUNY Upstate Medical University leadership to highlight her investment of $200 million for SUNY Upstate Medical University’s proposed new emergency department. Hospital leadership thanked the Governor for the historic $200 million investment in SUNY Upstate Hospital, which is dedicated to SUNY Upstate for their proposed new emergency room, in addition to the annual $50 million in capital for ongoing maintenance to the facility.
