Pysanky: Ukrainian Egg Decorating

Register today.

Date: Friday April 25

Time:? 5:00- 7:30pm

Pysanky, also known as Ukrainian eggs, are created using a process similar to batik. Patterns are drawn on the egg with hot beeswax, which then protects the covered areas from the dye that is applied. By repeating this process with different colors of dye, a multi-colored pattern is built up. The wax is removed at the end to reveal the colors that were covered up at each stage. A great deal of patience and concentration is required to complete a single egg, but it is very rewarding to reveal your hard work when the wax is taken off. All skill levels and ages can create an original pysanka.

Jimmy Maywalt Comedy @ the BAC

April 26

Show 8:00

Doors 7:30

Join Jimmy Maywalt and his growing comedy family for what is sure to be a raucous show.

Jimmy's humor is straight out of North Wall NJ. It's a BYOB place with a killer vibe and growing comedy family of both performers and audience members. This is the second year of the Comedy at the BAC series. If not here you can catch Jimmy at the Comic Strip Live in NYC and various venues around the tri-state area. Go to jimmymaywalt.com for more info and laughs.

Meet the comics-
Sean McDonough- One of the feature comics on the show. He returns to the BAC with his edgy, Jersey dude comedy style. He does comedy roasts and shows up and down the Jersey Shore.

Danny Livingston—Danny the shoe man represents Long Island, and you can see him at Comic Strip Live as well as in Connecticut, where I worked with Danny in what some might call "a hunting lodge." There was no chicken wire on the stage, but you could go to the comedy show and buy a shed all within 30 square yards. Danny- always funny and always loveable.

OUR HEADLINER!!!!Joseph Anthony- Put your seatbelts on, Belmar NJ. Joseph returns to the BAC with comedy guns blazing. You can get a taste of Joe on his blog, "The Unfunny Truth," which is a day in the mind of Joseph Anthony. He has headlined from here to California and will blow the doors off the place on August 26th. I am super stoked to have Joe back to headline the show. You won't want to miss this.
