Come dance at Vermilionville! Bayou Vermilion District & Vermilionville host live music, EVERY SUNDAY from 1-4 p.m. THIS SUNDAY, DYLAN AUCOIN & THE JUDICE RAMBLERS. Admission is only $10, FREE for Vermilionville members, and includes a self-guided tour of the living history museum.

Come early and grab lunch at Vermilionville’s restaurant -- open from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and features an all-you-can-eat buffet on Sundays. CFMA Cajun Jam

Due to other event obligations, our free CFMA Cajun Jam will not take place this Saturday, November 11, or next Saturday, November 18.

The jam will be back Saturday, November 25, so make plans to dance off your Thanksgiving turkey with us. It's 1-3 PM. and all musicians, dancers, and lovers of Cajun music are welcome!

Admission is free but does not include entry to the park. Special thanks to the Cajun French Music Association for sponsoring our weekly jam!
    
NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURE DAY SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18 -- A FREE FESTIVAL FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!

Native American Culture Day is slated for Saturday, November 18, 2023, 10 AM – 4 PM at Vermilionville. It’s a FREE festival with family-friendly events, demonstrations, cultural exhibits and much more.

Tribal groups who will participate include: Louisiana Attakapas Eagle Tribe, Avogel Tribe of Louisiana, Atakapas-Ishak Nation of Southwest Louisiana, Isle de Jean Charles Band of Biloxi, Chitimacha, Choctaw, Natchitoches Tribe of Louisiana, The Houma Nation, and the Coco Tribe of Canneci Tinne.

The day will begin at 10 AM. Opening ceremony at 10:15 AM by the Atakapa-Ishak Nation of Southwest Louisiana. Throughout the day, there will be dancing and drumming, music demonstrations, cultural and craft displays, storytelling, tomahawk throwing, crafts for the family, and more.
