The 2024 Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park. 300 national and international artists will come together with 20,000 art-loving patrons for a dynamic weekend full of art, food, music, and entertainment. Bayou City Art Festival is one of the largest and most prestigious juried Fine Art Festivals in the country and is produced by Art Colony Association, Inc.

The Art Colony Association is proud to announce Ash Beheshti as the Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park 2024 Featured Artist! Ash is a mixed-media artist from Los Angeles. As a visual storyteller, Beheshti voices his stories through his figurative collages that celebrate the female form and portray women in a strong, positive, and inspirational light.

KPRC 2 Hitch Stage

October 12, 2024

10:30am - 12:00pm: Gary Cain
Gary Cain is a Canadian-born, Austin-based guitarist, singer, and songwriter with one foot planted firmly in the blues, and the other foot planted in seemingly everything else. He's been called "ridiculously talented" and a "jaw-dropper" by Blues Matters Magazine, and is considered by many to be among the top guitar players in the blues-world.

1:00pm - 2:30pm: The Modern Standard
Houston-based The Modern Standard is comprised of pianist Ben Clifton, bassist AJ Moyler, and drummer Graeme Francis. They began performing together in late 2023, and have carved out a space in Houston's diverse jazz scene with their emphasis on original compositions, sophisticated arrangements, and infectious grooves.

3:30pm - 5:00pm: The Broken Spokes
The Broken Spokes are a beloved Texas traditional country outfit with a name synonymous with country due to the famous Austin honky tonk. This well-seasoned outfit's put in the time honing their craft in honky tonks across Texas, perfectly illustrating the textbook definition of country music in its purest form.

10:30am - 12:00pm: DeSoto Rose
DeSoto Rose has become one of Houston's favorite cover bands performing Americana, Indie, Folk Rock, Alt Country, and Classic Rock. DeSoto Rose is: Heidi Kaim (vocals), Nick Karam (vocals, guitar, mandolin), Andy Bost (bass), Cameron Clark (keyboard, banjo), Frans Sluiter (guitar), and Bruce Godzina (percussion), with guest vocalist Ayesha Najam.

1:00pm - 2:30pm: Hot City Brass Band
Houston's Hot City Brass Band is a respectful nod to the New Orleans style second-line band. They draw on the tradition but also add their own twist of pop, classic soul and 90's r&b covers that leave you feeling nostalgic and keep the party going.

3:30 pm - 5:00 pm: LaQuin & the Family Tree Band
LaQuin is a saxophonist, educator, and songwriter from Houston, TX. He is a graduate of HSPVA and holds a BA in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. LaQuin & the Family Tree Band are a mission driven funk and improvisation band consisting of saxophone, drums, guitar, turntables, vocalist, and LaQuin's on spot arrangements by Ableton Push.

11:00am - 12:30pm: Danielle Reich
Danielle Reich is a jazz, swing, and French chanson vocalist performing in southeast and central Texas. Danielle has been featured at the Trinity Jazz Festival, the Manouche NW Concert Series, the Houston Composers Salon, the Austin Jazz Festival, Houston Fringe Festival, and the Western Swing Hall of Fame, and will perform at LuluFest Austin in 2024.

1:30pm - 3:00pm: Amanda Pascali
"Too foreign for here, too foreign for home, and never enough for both" – Amanda Pascali's music is as unique as it is universal. Her powerful storytelling and enchanting timbre take us on a journey of beauty and human connection.

4:00pm - 5:30pm: Gracie Chavez
Gracie Chavez is an ambassador for the Texas music scene. She honed her taste-making skills on the decks to earn top accolades and Houston's Best DJ (2016). She also co-founded Bombón, a collective DJ/musicians based on screwmbia, Houston rap and tropical bass who made a cultural impact in the Lone Star State.

11:00am - 12:30pm: Raquel Cepeda
Raquel Cepeda is a jazz singer and songwriter who brings the best styles and rhythms from around the world to the refined language and aesthetics of jazz. Her latest album "Passion" was nominated for "Best Jazz Album" at the 2020 Pepsi Music Awards.

1:30pm - 3:00pm: Horace Alexander Young Trio
Horace Alexander Young is a 21st Century musician whose combined saxophone and vocal style revisits the sensitivity and grit of Lester Young and Cannonball Adderley, and the smoothness and grace of Nat King Cole. After 30+ years in the music business playing, arranging, composing and recording music for other artists his focus now is on his personal artistry and mentoring the next generation of musicians.

4:00pm - 5:30pm: Charlie Perez
An H Town Charlie DJ set is a world funk and jazz journey through the 70's, 80's, and 90's. He mixes in live percussion from Cuba and Brazil to elevate the experience for the listeners, who quickly become dancers.

Roaming Musicians

12:00pm - 2:00pm: Fred Lowery
Long-time Houstonian and current Brenham resident Fred Lowery has been performing in and around Texas, both as a solo artist and in the band Kirby and the Kruisers. Fred loves to entertain his audiences by playing a broad range of pop, rock, and country tunes on guitar, ukulele, and harmonica.
