For September, Lesley Alexander and Suzanne Shelden are showing horses! Two people who grew up loving, drawing, and riding horses bring two perspectives of the equine world together in one place where you can come and delight in all sorts of equine art. If you love horses, you will love this show. Lesley's horse portrayals are elegant and formal. Suzanne's interpretations are gutsy and energetic. Come meet the artists and enjoy horse talk at the reception, 1-4pm, September 2nd. Light refreshments will be served.

Our guest Artist this month is Karen Jenkins. Karen loves capturing moments, and she hopes to inspire others who have overcome challenges not to give up on their dreams and giftings. When she sees something that she enjoys, something different or special to her, she wants to paint it. The artwork she presents this month is of these moments, and behind them, are the dreams.

Money spent locally stays in the local economy and continues to strengthen the economic base of the entire community. Small local businesses make indispensable contributions to communities and neighborhoods. Supporting local artists allows them the opportunity to continue to serve their communities. You will often see members of Artworks@7th supporting local charities and organizations by participating in art shows, teaching workshops, and donating items for fundraisers.
