As the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington nears the end of an eventful year, I want to thank you for your central role in bringing the transformative power of art to our community in 2022.  

Your generous support drives MoCA Arlington's mission to connect our neighbors to contemporary art and artists by funding our cutting-edge exhibitions and so much more.  

Now I'm counting on your help to get MoCA Arlington's 2023 programming off to a strong start by raising $75,000 by December 31 through our 2022 Year-End Campaign.

This year, you helped to bring the best of contemporary art to our community in MoCA Arlington's nine gallery spaces –– with FREE admission to the public –– including our current outstanding exhibitions, which have just been extended until late January: 

- Lex Marie: Let Them Kids Be Kids, MoCA Arlington resident artist Lex Marie's powerful examination of the joys of Black childhood, which employs images from her personal life and uses the playground as a framework for exploring issues of race and equity. 

- Assembly 2022: Time and Attention, MoCA Arlington's biennial exhibition that highlights the latest material and conceptual trends in contemporary art, featuring works from artists who were nominated by curators of arts institutions from across the nation. This exhibition was just reviewed by Mark Jenkins in The Washington Post.

- The Linda Doman Collection: Selected Work, showcasing works from a dozen leading contemporary artists that were collected by the late Linda Doman, a beloved member of the MoCA Arlington community and longtime board member. 

You also enabled some of today's most innovative and electrifying artists to collaborate with their peers and engage with the public through MoCA Arlington's prestigious Resident Artist Program … helped people of all ages explore their creativity through our professionally-taught art education classes, workshops, and summer camps … and brought art to every corner of our community through our inclusive outreach initiatives and special events. 

In just a couple of weeks, MoCA Arlington will embark upon a new year of bringing groundbreaking contemporary art to Arlington and the world. 

And reaching our $75,000 goal is vital to our ambitious plans to deepen our neighbors' connection with artists from around the globe and advance Arlington's growing international reputation as a contemporary art hub.
