From: Annapolis Maritime MuseumThe Museum Reopen on Saturday, February 3rd
Annapolis Maritime Museum's reparations will be completed and will reopen this Saturday. Thank you to all who have offered encouraging words and helpful hands to our flood recovery.
We're taking proactive steps to recognize the increasing frequency of these high-tide events. An ad-hoc committee, comprised of key staff and board members, has been formed. Their mission is to address current challenges and develop a comprehensive plan to secure the building and its contents in the face of sea level rise.
GENEROUS DONATION FROM THE FAMILY OF THE LATE PEG WALLACE, MUSEUM'S FOUNDER
Alice Estrada, President and CEO of AMM gratefully accepted a generous contribution on behalf of the Coile Family Foundation. Jon Coile, pictured here, and his siblings were delighted to make this donation to support the museum's mission. They strongly believe in the museum's cause, which was inspired by their mother, Peg Wallace, the Founder of the Eastport Historical Society, which later evolved into the Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park.
WILMA LEE PASSED HER COAST GUARD INSPECTION
On Friday, Jan 27th, our historic skipjack Wilma Lee passed her Coast Guard inspection for 2024. We could not be more excited to begin our sailing season and are eagerly awaiting her return in March.
