American Lung Association News for January 23rd: The Test You Want to Take

Health and Fitness

Get Your Home Tested for Radon

Here’s why it’s so important for everyone to get their homes tested for radon:

- Radon gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States, accounting for over 21,000 lung cancer deaths each year.

- Radon is naturally occurring, but you can’t see it or smell it.

- The only way to detect radon in your home is to test for it.

This January during Radon Action Month, the Lung Association has partnered with Protect Environmental to provide free radon test kits in select markets. The Lung Association also offers radon tests starting at $15.
