From: Adams County Arts CouncilGettysburg, PA - The Adams County Arts Council (ACAC) invites the community to join us for the 2023 Music Day on Saturday, September 16. This program is a day-long, open-house event, offered free to the community to celebrate the joys of music. Attendees participate in music-making activities, classes, and enjoy concerts performed by local students and musicians. All programming will be held at the Arts Education Center at 125 S. Washington Street, Gettysburg, PA.
The list of events for the day are as follows:
10am – Music Together Demonstration Class: Learn more about our early-childhood music class for ages birth through five years (older sibling helpers also encouraged to participate). Space is limited; please RSVP at adamsarts.org or give us a call at (717) 334-5006.
11am – Instrument Petting Zoo: Explore the many families of instruments and try the ones that speak to you.
12pm – Local Student Showcase: An hour-long performance over our lunch hour from various private studio students in and around Adams County.
1:30pm – Sing Along Group: Join us for a community sing along of easy-to-follow songs for all ages and abilities.
2:30pm – Ukulele Circle: Bring your own ukulele or borrow one to learn basic chords and songs. No experience necessary.
3:30pm – Community Showcase – Relax at the end of the day and listen to the talents of local professional musicians.
