Theater, Dance, Music - all performing arts disciplines are encouraged to apply!

With the NXT series, AcA will partner with regional performing artists often at the outset of their careers. The series aims to support the growth of local performing artists creating significant new work in their discipline. NXT aims to bring a new audience into the AcA, and expose our members to unique artistic experiences from around Acadiana.

By applying to this program, AcA is offering the artist an opportunity to expand their work beyond the setting of a bar or club. Artists will have access to AcA’s James Devin Moncus Theater, state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment, and the ability to record the performance for future use. This is a chance for the artist to expand their vision in a state-of-the-art environment that gives the opportunity to produce an elevated experience with potential to bring the performance beyond Acadiana.
