From: Acadiana Center for the ArtsSeeking artists for ArtBox!
AcA and LCG will create 20 new ArtBoxes in neighborhoods within the historic core of the City of Lafayette featuring artwork that celebrates the unique community and culture of these neighborhoods.
What’s an ArtBox?
ArtBoxes are traffic signal boxes that feature original artwork, printed on high-quality vinyl wraps. These ArtBoxes beautify our community and celebrate local culture.
How does it work?
Artists can submit a proposal with their original artwork to be installed on any of the proposed sites.
Selected artists will receive a $500 artists fee, paid upon completion of a final design.
For submission portal, guidelines and a map outlining the potential sites, click below!
For those interested in designing an ArtBox, we are having a VERY IMPORTANT information session next Thursday, August 22nd, with AcA's Visual Arts Director Jaik Faulk.
This is highly recommended for everyone interested in designing an ArtBox!

Sediment: An immersive music and dance experience!
Sediment by Whitney Willis Hebert & Reid Willis
Spotlight Theater and Dance Series, presented by Standard Title
August 29th & 30th at 7:30pm
$25-35
‘Sediment’ is a live multimedia show based on Reid Willis’ latest album of the same name. Through live music, abstract video projection, and contemporary dance choreographed by Whitney Willis Hebert, the show explores the physical processes of sediment – erosion, decay, metamorphosis, and change through loss – as a metaphor for the human experience of evolution through inevitable change. Sediment is an expansion upon Willis’ original music to create an immersive and stimulating stage experience.
