AcA’s weeklong summer arts camps spark imagination and encourage creativity for ages 6-14. You don’t have to be an experienced artist to join!

Led by AcA’s team of teaching artists, each week has a different focus and theme to keep you inspired and challenged all summer long.

Performing Artists! Want to bring your show to the big stage?

In the NXT series, Acadiana Center for the Arts presents performing artists from Acadiana, often at the outset of their careers. This series aims to support the growth of local artists by creating significant work.

Selected artists will collaborate with AcA to develop, market, budget, and execute a live production in AcA's James Devin Moncus Theater.

Organizations and Individuals can apply for up to $7,500 for Creative Community Projects in the 2025 Cycle of Louisiana Project Grants

Submissions are now open for the Louisiana Project Grants (LPG), a program funded by the Louisiana Division of the Arts and administered for Region 4 by Acadiana Center for the Arts.

LPG supports creative community projects in Acadiana with up to $7,500 in funding per project with just under $100k available up for grabs. LPG is open to a range of applicants including nonprofits, libraries, municipalities, schools, universities and those organizations and individuals who lack 501(c)3 status may use a 501(c)3 as a fiscal agent. 

This year, a barrier for some applicants has been removed - the cash match is no longer a requirement meaning more organizations and individuals may find it easier to apply.

• The Program Director will be a visionary leader responsible for overseeing the daily operations and long-term strategic planning of the Louisiana Music Museum, which is currently in development.
• This role requires a blend of passion for Louisiana's music culture and proven expertise in arts administration.
• The Program Director will ensure the museum’s offerings reflect its mission to educate, inspire, and entertain visitors and locals alike, while maintaining operational excellence and fiscal responsibility.
• Applications are due through AcA’s application portal by no later than June 3 at 11:59pm.

Leapin’ Lizards! Ever wondered what happened to Little Orphan Annie?

From writers Caroline Helm Huval and Dr. Bonny McDonald and directed by Christy Leichty, Ms. Warbucks is a musical adapted from Harold Gray’s Little Orphan Annie cartoon.

Annie is all grown up, and we witness her relationship with former orphanage director, Ms. Agatha who is in a nursing home. She goes by “Ms. Warbucks” now.

The Listening Room Chamber Music Series, presented by Service Chevrolet

Join us for an afternoon of music by husband-and-wife piano duo, Fabio Witkowski and Gisele Witkowski, whose superlative piano playing in the “four hands” style, will offer the audience the quintessential chamber music experience.

Songs of Survivors will host a songwriting workshop for military veterans on May 17 at Acadiana Center for the Arts.

Facilitated by SOS Executive Director and singer/songwriter David St. Romain, these workshops are designed to help veterans heal from trauma through the power of music.

In this six-hour workshop, veterans can share their stories and then write a song with a musician facilitator about those experiences.
That song is then professionally recorded, and veterans receive a song they can call their own.
