Opening short: Die Bully Die

Die Bully Die - 7:30pm
Seventeen years after parting ways, Max and Adam catch up over dinner in a fancy restaurant. Adam was Max’s high school bully, and Max still holds a grudge, which begins to manifest itself in horrific ways. Don’t worry, it’s a comedy!
Four Mothers - 7:30pm
Edward is a novelist who is caring for his elderly mother. He’s finally on the verge of literary success, and pressure is mounting for him to go on a U.S. book tour. Out of the blue, his friends decide to jet off to Spain for a Pride holiday and leave their mothers in his charge. Over a chaotic weekend, Edward faces a massive case of work/life balance as he juggles the demands of his career with the demands of four eccentric, combative, and wildly different mothers.

A queer Black kid who attends a predominantly White college needs a haircut. He finds a suitable Black barbershop but then feels the need to tone it down to blend in.
Duino - 7:00pm
Matias met his first love, a Swedish boy named Alexander, when they were in boarding school in 1997. Their relationship was tender and intense, but was it truly romantic love? With the elusive Alexander, it was hard to tell. When Alexander is suddenly expelled, Matias is left with a lot of unanswered questions and unresolved feelings. Twenty-five years later, Matias is now making a film that’s loosely based on his life, and he’s looking for a new ending to the story.

Pierre is unhappy in his own body and can’t wait until the end of the day when he can return home from work to transform into Pietra. One evening, an elderly neighbor pays Pietra an unexpected visit.

Johan works as a receptionist at Adonis, Copenhagen's only gay sauna, where he also spends much of his free time. For Johan, the city is a boundless paradise of bars and parties, and an endless string of one-night stands with the latest Mr. Right-for-Right-Now. Then he meets William, a transgender man, and his life is profoundly changed. As their relationship deepens, it’s strained by society’s rigid ideas about gender, love, and identity.

A Culinary Uprising: The Story of Bloodroot - 4:00pm
Meet Selma Miriam and Noel Furie, two indomitable and pioneering women who founded Bloodroot, a feminist, queer, vegan restaurant and bookstore in Bridgeport. In the 1970s and 80s, there were more than 230 such spaces throughout the country. Bloodroot is now the oldest and longest lasting of them, in continuous operation for over 46 years. This remarkable documentary examines Bloodroot’s history, its place in American feminist thought, its impact on the local community, and why Bloodroot is more than just a restaurant.

Angela Madsen is a renowned ocean rower, Marine Corps veteran, three-time Paralympian, and fourteen-time Guinness World Record holder. This is the story of her harrowing attempt to row solo and unassisted for 2,400 miles across the Pacific Ocean, from Los Angeles to Hawaii. It’s also a poetic story of bravery, resilience, and the love between Angela and her wife, Deb, as they support each other’s dreams while separated by a vast ocean.

In the aftermath of the 2024 U.S. presidential election, three Connecticut mothers discuss their fears and share their outlook for the future with trans-activist Tony Ferraiolo. For anyone feeling helpless or scared right now, this discussion is meant to inspire hope.
Heightened Scrutiny - 7:30pm
Chase Strangio is a formidable ACLU attorney and the first out trans person to argue before the Supreme Court. With anti-trans legislation popping up in Whack-a-Mole fashion all over the country, this timely documentary follows Strangio’s high-stakes legal battle to overturn Tennessee's ban on gender-affirming care for transgender youth. It also exposes the dangerous role of mainstream media in fueling anti-trans legislation, uncovering how biased coverage drives hate, endangers lives, and threatens democracy itself.

Without any contact or support from his parents, he struggles to get his life on track. Things take a turn when he meets Ronaldo, an older man, at a **** theater. At first Ronaldo serves as a substitute father and mentor for Wellington, but then the relationship becomes more complicated and turbulent.

At some point, many of us have a moment when we’re forced to rewrite our own story. In this entertaining exploration of love, freedom and self-discovery, it’s João’s turn. He’s at a crossroads. His decade-long relationship has ended so he decides to make some big changes, personally and professionally. As a wannabe filmmaker, he tries to break into the industry but ends up directing amateur erotic films instead. And he goes on an intense dating journey, where he navigates modern romance and finds inspiration for his art.
