From: Toledo Lighthouse Waterfront FestivalCome enjoy a boat ride up and close to the buff brick roof like the upside-down hull of a ship Toledo Lighthouse and look for the phantom of the lighthouse, Sarah in the 3rd story window. And see the first and second floor shutters, restored doors that replaced cement block on the first floor and plexiglass on the second floor. The cost is $45 per person for an houra??s ride. The festival has amazing artists and crafters, live music in the amphitheater where you can sit and listen to American Legion, Polish bands, Steel Drums, Bob Wurst Band, Johnny Rodriguez and more. Lighthouse historian at Nature Center 12-4 and see the original 3.5 order lens.
Bid on the many items in the silent auction, have some food, meet Carl the lighthouse keeper and Dan the lighthouse historian. Lighthouse merchandise and pictures are also available along with childrena??s games. And Dave's amazing burgers
The festival is sponsored by the all-volunteer 400 member Toledo Lighthouse Society that is raising funds to restore the lighthouse. Restoration is completed for first and second floor shutters and windows, tucking brick and restoring doors at a cost of $775,000 with an additional $2.5 million to restore the lighthouse and open it to visitors. To allow access during restoration and after, funding is being sought to install a $50,000 dock and lift. Admission and parking for the festival are free. A $5 donation is requested.
