Pucks on the Prairie Sled Hockey Jamboree:

Come on out to the Larson Ice Center to experience the Siouxland Sled Hockey Jamboree. This event will start Friday, February 16 and go through Sunday, February 18th.

February 16, 2024:

8:00 am - 5:00 pm: SDSU Track and Field: SDSU Last Chance

Cheer on the SDSU Men’s and Women’s Track & Field team as they participate in the SDSU Last Chance! Purchase tickets online here.

5:45 pm - 6:30 pm: Snow Ball Meal

Interested in a kid-friendly fancy dinner before the Snow Ball winter formal? Dine with us in Cafe Coteau!

On the menu:

Salad, spaghetti with marinara sauce, breadstick, and a mini ice cream sundae
Water, milk, and sparkling juice
Gluten-free option available.

Seating is limited for this special event and reservations are required. The price for this special meal does not include a ticket for the Snow Ball dance.

This event is part of Frost Fest, a winter festival that takes place throughout Brookings, South Dakota, coordinated by Visit Brookings.

10:00 am - 3:00 pm: Chocolate Crawl in Downtown Brookings

Celebrate Frost Fest in Downtown Brookings! Fill up on chocolate treats throughout the neighborhood during our fun Chocolate Crawl from 10-3 p.m. Each participating business will have a yummy treat to share. Explore new places and satisfy your sweet tooth.

While you’re in the neighborhood, head to the Nick’s Hamburgers for a live ice carving demo.

10:00 am - 3:00 pm: Live Ice Carving Demo in Downtown Brookings

Celebrate Frost Fest in Downtown Brookings! Watch as two talented artists sculpt an incredible mitten statue out of ice blocks in the courtyard of Nick’s Hamburgers. Carving will begin around 10 a.m. and will be ongoing throughout the day.

While you’re in the neighborhood, shop and eat at nearby businesses during the Chocolate Crawl from 10-3 p.m.

11:00 am - 2:00 pm: Midwest Maidens Roller Derby Chili Feed

Chili Feed featuring about a dozen different chili recipes!

Free will donation to support Midwest Maidens Roller Derby. The minimum donation recommendation is $5 per person.
