Live And Collective Soul

Two stellar headliners take the stage for one powerhouse show as +LIVE+ and Collective Soul team up to kick-off summer in San Diego at opening night of the 2025 San Diego County Fair.

Collective Soul

Collective Soul frontman and chief songwriter Ed Roland is unwavering in his passion for making music, both in the studio and onstage. “People ask if I have a hobby, but for me, it’s just music,” he says. “I love the creation of it and seeing where it goes next.”

Roland sees the current Collective Soul lineup as the definitive version of the band. Their 2015 album See What You Started by Continuing set the stage, Blood (2019) strengthened their chemistry, and Vibrating (2022) launched their sound into new territory. “Our fans have been waiting for Vibrating for almost three years, and I can’t wait for them to hear it,” Roland shares.

With a catalog of hits like “Shine,” “December,” and “The World I Know,” plus newer tracks like “Right as Rain,” Collective Soul continues to evolve while staying true to their signature sound. “We know when to push boundaries and when to stay in our lane,” says Roland.

As the band nears 30 years together, their bond remains strong. “We’re friends first, and that’s why we’re still here,” Roland affirms. Expect more high-energy shows, great music, and a band still at the top of its game.

LIVE

+LIVE+ have sold over 23 million albums worldwide and earned two number one albums: Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi. Their catalog is filled with such gems as “Lightning Crashes,” “I Alone,” “All Over You” and “Lakini’s Juice,” which live on today as classics on rock radio. Throwing Copper—which the band celebrated in 2019 with a deluxe 25th anniversary edition along with a global tour across major festivals, amphitheaters and arenas--produced the band’s biggest single, “Lightning Crashes,” which was #1 at Modern Rock radio for ten consecutive weeks.

Throwing Copper reached #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and eventually surpassed sales of 10 million albums sold, with Rolling Stone honoring the album with placement on their list, “1994: The 40 Best Records From Mainstream Alternative's Greatest Year.” Secret Samadhi (1997) immediately shot to #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and eventually went double platinum. The release of the platinum-selling The Distance to Here (1999) turned +LIVE+ into an international powerhouse and moved the band from arenas into stadiums. +LIVE+ has been and remains today a global concert juggernaut.
